A lot of fuss about nothing!
Sold out weeks ago. Four-digit ticket prices on the black market. Mayor in the stadium. Fan address at the HSV final training. Fan march of the St. Pauli fans to the Volksparkstadion. 5,50 Euro (!) for a big beer.
And at the end such a game. The two rivals HSV and St. Pauli split in the long-awaited Hamburg city derby with a desolate 0:0.
You can see: In the first duel in seven and a half years, there is an incredible amount at stake for both clubs. Both don’t want to lose the game under any circumstances. Result: a lot of fighting, a lot of passion – but hardly any chances. Hwang misses the best chance for Hwang (60./from five meters past). St. Pauli almost manages the 0:1 in injury time, but Pollersbeck defuses a Sahin shot from 45 meters just so (90.+2.).
After all: During the risky game before and during the 90 minutes in the city and in the stadium it remained quiet as far as possible. Only one HSV fan was taken into custody because of „passive armament“ and pyrotechnics in the car. Before the whistle started, the St. Pauli fans torched some Bengalos.
A police spokesman to BILD: „After using pyrotechnics from both camps, we will evaluate the video surveillance and then investigate for violations of the Explosives Act.“
The police were represented with service dogs, horses and water cannons and expected 700 to 1000 violent fans from both camps. However, the officers did not have to intervene seriously.
The negative series of the HSV continues! The relegated team remains without a goal for the third time in a row, waiting for a victory during this time. And since 16 years on a compulsory game victory against St. Pauli! In the meantime there were three duels – 1:1, 0:1 and now 0:0. Nevertheless, HSV still holds second place. One point behind: St. Pauli, that is now unbeaten for three games (two wins, one draw).

Fürth wins in Dresden
The SpVgg Greuther Fürth has made the jump to second place at least temporarily. The Saxons won the chasing duel at Dynamo Dresden with 1:0 (0:0) after a goal by Daniel Keita-Ruel (85th) and celebrated their fourth victory of the season. On Monday, Union Berlin can still pass in the table with a victory at FC Ingolstadt. For Keita-Ruel it was the sixth goal of the season.
First victory for Magdeburg
Christian Beck gave the 1. FC Magdeburg the first victory in the 2. league in the eighth attempt. In the 73rd minute of an otherwise boring game with no major highlights, the centre forward scored the goal by head to a somewhat lucky 1-0 (0-0) win at SV Sandhausen. Previously, the Saxony-Anhalt promoted player had played five draws.
